Guestbook RIP 2003-2010

Ah.. technology, phasing out great things like this trusty guestbook. After 8 years, 2003-2010, so many wonderful things have been developed, making guestbooks pretty much obsolete. Back in the days before social networking, tweeting, and commenting, this was the way it was done!

Hafa Adai, Great site. I'm from Saipan, CNMI but I currently live in Alaska, USA. I found your site while looking for pictures of home. I found myself quickly engulfed in your stories and enjoying all your photos. It's good to see that people actually travel and see the world. I'm often asked why I'm in Alaska when I'm from a tropical island; some people just don't get it. The Engrish photos really cracked me up...can't stop laughing at some of those. Hi Steve and Amie! Had to chuckle when I found your site...oh nice site by the way, good browse! We yesterday(and bear in mind we are locals living near Elbow on east side of Lake Diefenbaker), went on photo safari to the Beechy Sandcastles and Sunken...much like yourselves it was an adventure to find them in abscence of signage, etc...but eventually did and was worth the wrong route we travelled initially! That's Saskatchewan though...but glad to know people from outside of here can find it! Thanks for posting what has to be one of our regions most breathtaking yet underpromoted natural attractions. Hey Steve, I was just trying to find your email address to add you to the IVCF Flickr group but the rest of the site is pretty neat too. It's got a bit more content than my website (www.stevenhepting.com). I didn't realize how cool GPS's were until I used yours this weekend. It did take longer than 5 minutes to figure out though. Although it doesn't have all the roads on it, it certainly helps to know when you're lost (say, 60km the wrong way out of Winnipeg). I've done my first confluence point. Although I think I probably knew about them first, I just didn't take any action. I was certainly missing out. Sweet! Hey now you are going to have to get one yourself - and do a point that no one has done yet. 4 hours from here near Melfort is the closest I think! I'll race ya! -steve-
